Fantastic

This is a wonderful app, particularly with Varanny. It'll change frequencies and download Winlink email from Vara FM or HF. I just wish it could be enhanced to directly connect to the IC-705 or IC-7300mk2 and do packet over the WLAN interface.

An App That Does What It Says It Does

I am an amateur radio operator and was delighted to find this app. It allows any licensed ham to to connect to the AllStar network using the Mac. I am a blind VoiceOver user. I found one aspect of the app that did not work with the VoiceOver screen reader. I contacted the developer and he responded immediately and quickly fixed the problem. This app is easy to use and it works great.

This app vastly exceeded my expectations. It connected to Mobilinkd right out of the box, with respectable speeds for AX.25 packets. The interface is clean, simple, and intuitive. It does one thing — Winlink email — without getting in the way of itself with bloat. A truly fantastic app. Now, if we can just convince the authors to create a nice WSPR and FT8 companion they'd completely remake QRP and mobile amateur radio.

Made my D75 worth the price. I’m in the Apple ecosystem already and when I found out the BLE issues with the D75 I was somewhat disappointed. The BB Link changed all that and I’m running 100% without issue. Nice small footprint, ease of use and the auto connect make this a valuable piece of kit for any D74/75 user. Great work sir!

Works as promised!!

As a USA licensed HAM Operator for a very long time I am often saddened at the lack of any real software for the Macintosh for my amateur radio hobby. This one is a breath of fresh air! A modern, up-to-date actual Mac program. So not only is there a Mac program for HAM radio, this one works perfectly. It handles all the audio devices I have, the GUI is fast and responsive, it handles all the Cocoa look-and-feel including themes, and the developer will happily answer any questions if you get stuck if you're a NOOB like I was to AllStar. Works perfectly and I was up and running with a full AllStar client in less than five minutes. When I created my own node from a Raspberry Pi-4B, this software let me control it instantly. Just as hoped and just as described. 5-stars.

While iaxrpt works on PC's, it lacks a modern feel and there was no support for Macs. Transceive addresses both of these and has a great user interface. Support for public authentication is a great help for easy yet authenticated connection to my network (www.thecanadahub.ca) and Georges has been providing excellent customer support and addressing feature requests. Transceive works great

I do a lot of nets and Allstar nodes and Transceive allows us to open the nets to other people who do not have a node yet. Another way to get people into Amateur Radio. And..... Georges at Transceive is wonderful to work with. At $20 you can't loose.

I really like this app and use it daily, I have a lot of winlink messages. I would like to see a way to delete a number of messages at once- unless I am missing how to do it-rather than one at a time. otherwise, if you have winlink, you need this app

I wont make this too long however heres my short story: I was struggling as a new comer to the WinLink world to get a connection established to any gateways. However the people at RadioMail walked with me every step of the way when I was getting frustrated and ensured I had everything set correctly even when they knew it wasnt an issue with their app! The app is super easy to use especially as a newcomer to this mode of communication! It works flawlessly with my portable TNC and i couldnt be happier to utilize this app even more going forward! Great app

The setup is very straight forward. I didn't even have to reference the manual until I had an issue where it wasn't transmitting. Georges has a great troubleshooting section and I had it running in just a few minutes after making a configuration change to the D75. Working like a champ ever since. I like how it will find the closest packet node to your GPS location. Will be great when traveling.

Love the B.B. Link Adapter. It works flawlessly. Very fitting company name because the device "works like magic". My Kenwood THD 75 should be able to connect to IOS bluetooth for the price of the radio. A Chinese company makes a radio that does for far less than the cost of the THD 75. Island Magic saved the day.

The B.B. Link worked right out of the package with very little setup. Just connecting Bluetooth. I have other Ham Radio accessories and this was the easiest to set up and start using. I used other products to use Winlink and they were not as easy and hit or miss as far as working. Would definitely recommend to other users.

Excellent Winlink on iPhone/iPad App

Been using RadioMail flawlessly with Baofeng UV-5R and Mobilinkd in a holder by North Point LLC I downloaded from Thingiverse and 3D printed. RadioMail has worked very well for both direct packet gateway connections and via digipeaters. Have given demos to local medical groups with high interest. Great tool to take additional advantage of a device we already carry around in our pocket. Looking forward to testing the forms capabilities and the Vara FM and Pactor TNC access.

Fantastic app!

What a breath of fresh air Transceive is! Most software out there today for amateur radio applications is outdated, clunky and sometimes completely nonfunctional. I wanted a way to access AllStar without the need for a radio-enabled node, and this works perfectly. It makes maintaining my node & links a breeze. Audio quality is fantastic, UI is clean and simple, and everything just works. This is an extremely convenient way to stay connected. Even if you have an existing radio-enabled AllStar node and HT, Transceive is a fantastic addition to your tool belt.

I have participated in the beta testing for RadioMail and found it to be the best winlink client yet. I have used winlink in windows, Pat on Linux, and WoAD on Android and none are as easy to use as RadioMail. Thanks for getting this out.

Great Winlink client

I purchased this app mainly to support the modernization of Amateur Radio software. It is also an extremely convenient and clean way to access Winlink mail. I recognized when purchasing the app that it did not have a software modem that utilizes the iPhone's audio system — I'd love to see this added in the future, as it is key to inexpensively accessing some scenarios. One small bug I encountered: the hourly automated email check, via Telnet, does not work for me. I've made sure background app refresh is enabled.

As ARES EC providing Emcomm to a community of 600,000 people, I've always wanted to be able to use Winlink on my iPhone and iPad and now I can. Telnet connections are easy, and can even use a connection to your radio to send via RF. And unlike many other Amateur Radio apps, this one looks and works beautifully!

Clean, simple, and fast!

I picked this app up recently to start playing around with Allstar, and it does not disappoint. Type in an Allstar node number and connect, it's that simple. My headphone/mic was automatically detected without fuss. An even-better feature I would love to see in the future is a file folder type structure for the node window, since the list can tend to get long. Also, being able to add a nickname to node entries to label them in a way that makes more sense to me would be a nice add also. I hope this app continues to get updates long into the future. I plan to tell all my fellow Hams about it and suggest they give it a try. 73s

The app just works. Allows 24/7 notification of Winklink email and - amazingly works with Kenwood TH-D74&74 amateur radios. Even has ICS incident forms availability Vary impressed. Author must have hardware understandings. His serial port Bluetooth to BLE Bluetooth hardware- frankly knocks the ball out of the stadium.

Dream Come True
